Vortex Self-cleaning Filter VX(VX Solid-liquid Separator for short) is used for separating precipitated particles under centrifugal force produced in liquid rotation, and widely applied in the solid-liquid separation field.
The separation efficiency of VX solid-liquid separators depends on the particle density and liquid viscosity. When the specific gravity of particles is large and the viscosity is low, better separation effects can be achieved. For particles larger than 40um, the separation efficiency is up to 98%. Solid impurities with the smallest size of 5um can be separated with VX solid-liquid separators. No moving part is used in separation. Cleaning or replacement of filter elements is not required. How it works
The liquid enters on a tangential inlet where the velocity is increased by an internal acceleration ring. As the fluid spins through the separation chamber the centrifugal force caused by the acceleration ring forces the suspended particles to the inner wall of the separation chamber. The separated particles then slide down the inner wall to the collection chamber while the carrier fluid undergoes a 270 degree change of direction by the direction plate causing further and more efficient separation while the vortex breaker allows the suspended particles to settle in the collection chamber. The particle-free water discharges to the top outlet through central pipe.
